If you are travelling to Hyderabad for treatment at Stunning Dentistry, the clinical care is the part you came for. The logistics, hotel booking, airport transfer, the food you can actually eat for the first ten days while implants integrate, is the part most patients underestimate. This page walks through what we have set up, what it costs in Euro, and what to expect.

We have refined this layer over 62 Spanish patient visits plus over 2,100 international visits in total. The hotel partners listed below give us block rates that we pass through to you with no markup. The transfer chauffeurs are vetted and personally known to your coordinator. The soft-food programme was built with our consulting nutritionist specifically for patients in the first two weeks after dental implant surgery.

The hotel programme

We work with eight Hyderabad hotels in two tiers. All are within 12–25 minutes' drive of the clinic in Banjara Hills. All have been visited and approved by the Stunning Dentistry team. None pays us a referral fee.

Tier 1 (5-star)

Tier 2 (4-star)

What "block rate" means: we have negotiated bulk room rates as a regular customer. The rate above includes breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi, and complimentary airport shuttle if booked at least 48 hours ahead. The same rooms booked individually direct with the hotel run 35–55% higher in peak season.

Choosing your tier: about 56% of our Spanish patients choose tier 1. The remaining 44% choose tier 2, most often the Marriott Executive Apartments because the kitchenette is useful during the soft-food phase and the one-bedroom apartments suit travelling couples. Both tiers are clean, safe, English-fluent, and 100% comfortable for a 14-day stay.

The airport transfer protocol

Arrival

• 72 hours before your flight: your coordinator emails you the driver's name, photograph, mobile number, and vehicle registration.
• 12 hours before your flight: a confirmation message arrives. You acknowledge receipt.
• 45 minutes before your scheduled landing: the driver is at Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD), arrivals, holding a printed name card with your surname and a Stunning Dentistry logo. He waits at the international arrivals exit.
• If your flight is early, the driver moves to arrivals as soon as the airport's flight information board updates.
• If your flight is delayed, the driver stays in the parking lot (free up to 60 minutes) and rejoins arrivals when you are 45 minutes from landing.

Departure

• A driver collects you from your hotel four hours before your scheduled departure for an international flight (Hyderabad airport recommends three hours, we add an hour as buffer).
• The driver waits with you at check-in until you have a boarding pass and have cleared the bag drop. He does not leave you at the kerb.
• If for any reason you cannot fly (medical, weather, airline), the driver returns you to the hotel; we manage the rebooking.

Vehicles

Standard transfer is a Toyota Innova Crysta (mid-size SUV, good for two passengers plus four large suitcases). For three or more passengers, a Toyota Hiace (12-seater minibus) is provided at no additional cost. Premium upgrade to a Mercedes E-Class is available on request for €28 per transfer.

Cost

All transfers are included in your treatment package. No separate charge. No tipping expected (drivers are salaried Stunning Dentistry contractors, not commission-based).

In-Hyderabad transport during your stay

You don't need a rental car. Most days you do not need transport at all (your hotel is within 12–25 minutes of the clinic and the clinic provides a same-day chauffeur for clinic visits). For sightseeing or shopping, your coordinator books a vetted Stunning Dentistry chauffeur at €12/hour with a 4-hour minimum. Uber and Ola operate in Hyderabad and are perfectly safe; we are happy for you to use them, but the chauffeur option means you have someone who speaks fluent English (and basic Spanish on some routes), knows the city, and is reachable through us.

The soft-food programme

After implant surgery, you will be on a soft-food diet for 10–14 days. We have built a tiered programme with our consulting nutritionist that aligns with surgical recovery while still being food you actually want to eat.

Tier A: blended phase (hours 0–48 post-surgery)

• Cold smoothies (banana, mango, papaya, yoghurt, honey)
• Cold gazpacho (chilled, well-blended, no chunks)
• Cold cucumber-yoghurt soup
• Vanilla ice cream (post-op favourite; cold reduces swelling)
• Strained dal (lentil) broth
• Strained vegetable broth
• Apple compote (cooled)

All cold or room-temperature. Hot food is restricted in the first 48 hours because heat increases bleeding risk at extraction sites.

Tier B: soft-textured phase (48 hours – 7 days)

• Scrambled eggs
• Mashed potato (no skin, no chunks)
• Polenta and creamy risotto (well-cooked, no al-dente bite)
• Khichdi (Indian rice-and-lentil porridge)
• Steamed fish (merluza, bacalao, rodaballo)
• Mashed avocado
• Hummus and tahini
• Requesón (fresh Spanish soft cheese) and ricotta
• Yogur griego con miel
• Soft cooked pasta (penne, fusilli, well-cooked)
• Bizcocho blando (no nuts, no crust)

Tier C: full soft phase (days 7–14)

• All Tier B foods
• Tender slow-cooked chicken (pollo asado deshuesado)
• Soft cooked vegetables (zanahoria, calabacín, espinaca, calabaza)
• Tofu and paneer
• Mild soft fish curries (no whole spices)
• Tortilla francesa
• Crema catalana y natillas
• Compota de manzana, pera, melocotón
• Batidos de frutas suaves

Foods to avoid for the full 14 days

• Anything crunchy (patatas fritas, picos de pan, kikos, raw vegetables, frutos secos)
• Anything chewy (chistorra, chorizo firme, carne roja poco hecha, gominolas)
• Anything with a hard crust (barras de pan crujiente, pan de payés, pan rústico recién hecho)
• Anything with seeds or small pieces that could lodge in surgical sites (fresas, frambuesas, palomitas, pan con semillas, pan multicereal)
• Hot beverages for the first 48 hours
• Alcohol for the first 7 days
• Carbonated drinks for the first 48 hours

Hotel and clinic catering

All four tier 1 hotels and three of the four tier 2 hotels offer the soft-food programme menu directly through room service at no surcharge. The Marriott Executive Apartments have a kitchenette so you can prepare your own. The clinic provides Tier A meals included in the post-op kit on day of surgery.

The small things that matter

• Power adapters: Spanish plugs (Type C and F) do not always fit Indian outlets (Type D/M). We leave a 4-port multi-adapter on your nightstand on arrival.
• Bottled water: complimentary 2L per person per day in the room.
• Laundry: included in tier 1 hotels (3 items per day); €3.50 – €5.50 per item at tier 2.
• English-language TV: all hotels carry BBC World, CNN, ESPN, HBO, and a selection of streaming-ready smart TVs; some hotels carry TVE Internacional and RTVE on selected rooms.
• Wi-Fi: complimentary in-room and lobby at all 8 partner hotels.
• Local SIM: your coordinator hands you a pre-activated Airtel SIM with 30 days of unlimited data and 100 minutes of international calling on arrival. No charge.
• Pharmacy: clinic-attached pharmacy stocks all post-operative medications. You collect on day 1 with full instructions in English or Spanish.
