Questions about this procedure?

Phase 1: Diagnostic and plan (weeks 1–5)

Week 1, first contact.

You email, WhatsApp, or call. Your dedicated Spanish patient coordinator acknowledges within 2 Spanish business hours. They send you a diagnostic checklist:

  • An OPG (panoramic X-ray), any Spanish dentist can provide this.
  • A CBCT (cone-beam CT) scan, also available from any Spanish dental radiology centre.
  • Intraoral and extraoral photographs (smile, frontal, lateral, occlusal).
  • Your current treatment plan or clinical notes if you have them.
  • A brief medical history (medications, allergies, systemic conditions).

Week 2, documents arrive.

You upload through our secure portal. A clinician reviews within 3 Spanish business days.

Week 3, video consultation.

40–60 minute video consultation with the senior clinician who will lead your case. Conducted in Spanish if preferred (we have two Spanish-fluent clinicians on the European patient team). You discuss goals, constraints, medical history, anxiety levels, and preferences (monolithic zirconia vs. layered vs. hybrid).

Week 4, written case plan.

You receive a 15–25 page case plan with: diagnostic summary, proposed treatment phases, material specifications, timing estimate, cost estimate in Euro, and a list of alternatives considered and rejected with reasons.

Week 5, your decision.

You approve, propose modifications, or decline. About 14% of Spanish enquiries decide at this point that travel is not right for them and we advise staying with their Spanish provider; there is no pressure and no follow-up.

Phase 2: Booking and preparation (weeks 6–10)

Week 6, deposit and booking.

A 10% deposit confirms your case and dates. The coordinator books your tentative travel window; the clinical team locks the surgical slot.

Week 7, visa and flights.

Your India e-Medical Visa application goes in. We issue the invitation letter. Approval typically within 3–7 working days. Your coordinator sends 3–4 flight options via Frankfurt, Munich, Doha, or Istanbul. You choose; they confirm booking (on your own credit card, at block fares we have negotiated with Lufthansa and Qatar Airways).

Week 8, Spanish dental liaison.

If pre-travel dental work is needed (extractions, caries stabilisation, periodontal clearance), your coordinator liaises with your Spanish home dentist with your written consent. A written referral goes from us to them with the specific pre-travel preparations that would make your first Hyderabad visit smoother.

Weeks 9–10, pre-departure pack.

You receive a printed and digital pre-departure pack including: itinerary, hotel booking confirmation, driver contact, clinic maps, emergency numbers, soft-food shopping list, daily schedule for visit 1, list of medications to bring from Spain (typically very short, most you will collect at our clinic pharmacy).

Phase 4: Integration interval (weeks 14–34)

This is the phase patients ask the least about and we focus most on managing. Implants integrate into bone over 4 to 6 months depending on surgical site, bone density, and individual patient factors. You are at home in Spain, eating soft foods for the first two weeks, transitioning to softer-than-normal for the next six, and resuming normal function (with avoidance of crusty bread, nuts, and sticky sweets) from about week 24.

What the coordinator manages during integration:

  • Week 14 video check-in. Short 15-minute call; any concerns, any soreness, any provisional issues.
  • Week 18 photo review. You send two mouth photographs via WhatsApp; the clinician reviews.
  • Week 22 phone check. Longer call; any questions from you or your Spanish home dentist.
  • Week 28 video consultation. With your treating clinician; full visual review.
  • Week 32 records collection. OPG from your Spanish home dentist for clinician review before final fit; intraoral photos from you.
  • Week 34 final-fit confirmation. Clinician signs off that integration is complete and second visit can proceed.

If at any point between weeks 14 and 34 you have a concern (bleeding, pain not resolving, loose provisional, suspect infection), you contact your coordinator and we respond within 1 Spanish business hour during working hours, within 4 hours overnight, and we arrange a Spanish-home-dentist assessment if clinically necessary. We have contract relationships with named prosthodontists in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Bilbao, and Malaga for exactly this purpose.
